Step 2: Add a site
Open the extension and add the site you want handled this way. A domain is enough.
Typical reasons people set this up:
- A shopping site they'd rather not have shaping ads everywhere else
- A health or finance site they don't want in history on a shared computer
- A work tool they need signed into a different account than their main one
Step 3: Browse normally
Next time you open that site, it moves into a private window on its own. You don't have to remember, which is the entire point, because remembering is exactly what fails.
What private browsing actually does: your browser doesn't keep history, cookies or site data after the window closes. It does not hide your browsing from your employer, your network, or the site itself. That's true of every private mode in every browser.
Managing the list
Add sites as you think of them, remove them when you don't need them. There's nothing else to configure.
If a site stops loading the way you expect, remove it from the list and check whether it behaves the same in a private window you opened yourself. That tells you quickly whether the problem is the extension or the site not liking private mode.
Signing in still works differently
Worth knowing before it surprises you: because private windows don't keep cookies, you'll be signed out of that site every time. That's the trade-off, not a bug. If you want a site to stay signed in, it shouldn't be on the list.
